Order of Ennead
Order of Ennead – Order of Ennead
(Earache, 2009)
Short and straight to the point. This embodies Order of Ennead as if it were their own design philosophy when it came to piecing the music together. Many will be wondering about Steve Asheim’s (Deicide) influence on the production, and one can easily respond; this isn’t another Deicide reiteration, just dangerously close.
The music itself is a more blackened, thrash extension to Deicides extremities. And whilst there are whiffs ever so potent of Deicide, Order of Ennead have kept everything feeling fresh and vigorously brutal. The performances encapsulate this, as the precision undergone by each member is an indefinite technical exercise, which will be recognised. Although this is not just a technical outing. Order of Ennead are as much about solid, fresh song writing as they are technically sound, and you’ll find every track present polished to the core.
Order of Ennead is another majestic addition to Steve Asheim’s impressive discography. Let’s hope the next one is of scientific worth – heck it’ll have to be, to top this.
