For those that read my review of their last album "Born II
Rock", you will know exactly just how much these guys blew me away.
Whilst it may not have been the most original album, the fun factor was just immense and overall it was a monster of an album. I can’t remember the last time I heard a vocalist similar to Ozzy Osbourne before, but we have it on here, and the groove-master Jocke Lundgren is straight from the Zakk Wylde School of playing. I personally don't think it is instantly as catchy as "Born II Rock" was, but this time they have tried to put their own stamp on things and generally tried to be a little more experimental, which is good to see as it has definitely paid off. It may have taken longer to grow on me, but "Memories in Black" is once again a groove-fest from start to finish. With fantastic hooks and riff-laden songs galore, this is one album that I urge you to invest in. Chris Rogers
