Debauchery
Back in Blood
Band: Debauchery

Debauchery could well be Germany's answer to Six Feet Under. Heavy, mid-paced Death Metal with a very Chris Barnes' guttural style of vocals.
I'm not too sure whether it's intentional or not, but Debauchery have a certain comical aura about them despite tracks such as "Butcher the Bitches", "Baptize this World in Blood" and "Lords of Battle". You just don't know whether to take them seriously or not. If you have a sick enough sense of humour, then you can probably laugh along whilst listening to some groovy, yet damn heavy music. This comical element is particularly noticeable on the added bonus tracks; covers of famous tracks by artists such as Judas Priest, Rammstein, Genesis, The Beatles and Manowar. Some of them strangely work really well; Genesis' "I Can't Dance" is a personal favourite. Nothing at all groundbreaking, and there are perhaps a few bands that do the whole Rock ‘n' Roll/Death Metal thing a little better, but on the whole though, "Back in Blood" is a decent enough album, even if they do take a lot from Six Feet Under.
