Bridgefest 2010
Bridgefest is a three-day open-air Metal festival that will be held in Canning Town, South East of London in August. Bridgehouse 2, the venue that will be hosting the festival, before being relocated to its current location, was already a landmark establishment within the metal community. In the 80s, Iron Maiden, Saxon and Girlschool built their foundations by playing there.

Paul Gray, the bassist for Grammy-winning metal band Slipknot, has been found dead in an Iowa hotel room. There was no indication of foul play, police have said.

Jon Oliva Interview
Jon Oliva's legacy is being the front man of Savatage. He is also one
of the masterminds behind Trans-Siberian Orchestra. His latest band,
Jon Oliva's Pain, has just released their fourth album, "Festival," an
intricate display of progressive sounds with a dark tone.
Jon's nightmares became reality with the concept and recording of
"Festival," which features a song created from old recordings by his
brother, Criss, before his death.
Speaking to Kelley Simms from his home in Florida, Jon talked about the differences
between "Festival" and previous JOP releases, his brother and, of
course, Savatage.

Fozzy Upgrade Glasgow Show
FOZZY, the band featuring current WWE Wrestling Heavyweight World Champion CHRIS JERICHO and Stuck Mojo mastermind RICH WARD have upgraded their Glasgow show on May 13, 2010 due to exceptional demand for tickets.
FOZZY, who also feature SEAN DELSON and FRANK FONTSERE, have had to upgrade from The Cathouse to the larger Garage and more tickets are now on sale.

DRAGONFORCE SPLIT WITH SINGER
It is with great regret that DragonForce announce a parting of the ways with singer, ZP Theart. This is due to insurmountable differences of musical opinion, but the rest of the band sincerely wish ZP great success with his future projects.
While the creative core members have begun writing the band’s fifth album, they have also started a worldwide search for a new vocalist. “We are looking for a powerful, melodic singer to write a new chapter of DragonForce with us." said guitarist Herman Li.
Rare Metallica Demo Unearthed
TheMetalDen has unearthed another one of the earliest METALLICA demo tracks ever. It is a recording of DIAMOND HEAD’s “Sucking My Love”, featuring Dave Mustaine on guitar, Ron McGovney on bass, Lars Ulrich on drums and James Hetfield on vocals. Dave Ellefson returns to Megadeth
Megadeth founder and frontman Dave Mustaine has announced the return of original bassist David Ellefson (who served 1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum group. This reunion is appropriately timed to line up with Megadeth’s upcoming US ‘Rust In Peace’ 20th anniversary tour.

Hostile Interview
Endorsed by none other than Judas Priest's K.K. Downing, Hostile may be poised to achieve great success in the metal scene.
Not only is K.K. producing the band's debut CD, "Eve of Destruction," but he also wrote and performed on the song
"Avenger," the first time the guitarist has written for anyone outside Priest.
K.K. became interested in
Hostile's talent and potential after seeing them perform at a club called JB's in Dudley, Midlands. Undertaking the role of mentor to the youngsters, K.K. is more than willing to lend his musical experience and production services to this young and talented band.

K.K. Downing producing Hostile's debut
Legendary guitarist K.K. Downing of Judas Priest is in the studio producing UK classic metal band and fellow hometown residents Hostile's debut CD "Eve of Destruction"
This is K.K.'s second attempt at producing, the first time was with Violent Storm.
Not only is K.K. producing the band's CD, but he also wrote and performed on the song "Avenger," the first time the guitarist has ever written for a band outside of Priest.
The vocals are being recorded now and there is no release date set for the CD.
A cool cover version of "Eve of Destruction" by American singer-songwriter Barry Maguire will be featured on the CD.
